Nauticus, Battleship Wisconsin & Victory Rover Harbor Cruise

Begin the day at Nauticus, a unique and thriving campus of visitor attractions that explores the economic,naval, and natural powers of the sea.Features here include a series of interactive exhibits, aquariums of marine life and the Hampton Roads Naval Museum, one of ten museums officially operated by the U.S. Navy. All are encouraged to view the highdef film “The Last Battleship: The USS Wisconsin” before taking the connecting walkway from Nauticus to the USS Wisconsin, one of the famous Iowa-class ships permanently berthed in Norfolk. This great ship fought in WWII, the Korean War and most recently in the Persian Gulf War. Directly adjacent to the museum complex, you will enjoy a relaxing harbor cruise aboard the Victory Rover. During the two-hour excursion on this naval themed vessel, you’ll hear fascinating narration about the region and its working port. Take in the sights of aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines, guided cruisers and all of the other ships that form the world’s most powerful armada as yo travel up to Naval Station Norfolk—the world’s largest naval base. Light refreshments will be available on board for purchase. For those who want to spend more time at Nauticus or the Battleship, you are welcome to return to the museum following the cruise.
